About the Vtec.
If you've found this site then you probably already know a fair bit about the Vtec and its design.
But if you dont here's a little bit of info to be getting on with.
The Honda Vtec is a Double Over Head Cam (DOHC) engine, this means that one cam controls the inlet side of things and one controls the exhaust side of things. This is a good design as it allows the cams to be more accuratly timed to give a better spread of power. Honda took this idea on step further and added the concept of Variable Valve timming. This gives you basicly a very versatile engine. Giving both good low speed performance and incredable high speed performance, Lovly.

Well I think so, this engine should make the Mini both a good round town low speed car and a near missile at high speed. As for the handaling I've kept as near as possible to the origanal Mini set up
Some of the specs that I've collect from fellow converters and out rite mini nuts are as follows.
0-60MPH 5.5 seconds!!!!!
Top speed 140MPH!!!!
Now lets see that from a A series motor.
My case rests.
